About this Painting
This painting holds a special place in my heart because it's the first one I completed after a 20-year break from art, an interruption that wasn't planned or wanted. I drew inspiration from the woods near my home, and this image symbolizes something in me that had been dormant for far too long. The two abstract figures in the bottom left corner are watching as the light breaks through, awakening the forest. The thick, textured layers of paint are filled with vitality and depth. This painting is my reawakening.
